Training Options
We offer different options for one-to-one training for you and your fur-baby
30 Minute Phone Consultation
This is a great option for getting ready to bring home a new fur-baby or if you have a couple of questions and need to be set on the right path.
1 Hour In Home Training
Great option for dealing with basic obedience issues that you can't figure out an answer to. Potty training, chewing, barking, greeting people and leash walking can usually be worked on in an hour session.
2 Hour In Home Training
For people who have a more complicated situation at home. Reactivity issues, confidence building and introducing new fur-babies to your pack are best handled in a two hour session.
Puppy Package
Thinking of getting a new puppy? This package is perfect for you! What it includes:
- 30 minute phone consultation before you collect your new family member to make sure you have everything you need.
- 30 minute home visit just before you bring your new puppy home to help you with setting up the space.
- Three 1 hour in home training visits once puppy has joined your family to set you on the right path to a harmonious home!

30 Minute Training @ The Home of Paws
Private training session at The Home of Paws in Plainville. Training in a safe, dog specific environment outside of the home. This is great for those pups who need some training outside of the home but aren't ready for the group class environment just yet.

For a more social setting
Pack Walks
These are fun opportunities to walk with like minded people and their fur-babies in beautiful locations! All dogs are welcome, even those with some reactivity issues! If you're not sure you or your fur-baby are ready for this, send us a message.
Current Pack Walk: Lincoln Woods, Rhode Island. Saturday's 3pm start. Run every Saturday unless weather is poor or ice/heat stops play! Follow @fluffyruffianacademy on Instagram for weekly confirmation.
The Home of Paws - Nosework Foundation
Nosework is a great game for all dogs! It’s a way to build confidence in nervous pups and redirect energies in restless or rambunctious pups. This is also a great indoor game for those wet, snowy or extremely hot New England days! If you enjoy this foundations class, this is a game that you can take to the top flight of competition within the Nosework World.

The Home of Paws - Rockstar Handling: AKC Canine Good Citizen
So many people have recognized how therapeutic dogs can be and want to become involved in therapy work with their pups. This program helps with getting both handler and pup ready for this. Canine Good Citizen is a recognized AKC program with a certificate and medal for those who pass the CGC test.
*This class is not suitable for puppies who do not have the basic obedience skills in place.

The Home of Paws - Handling Distractions
Perfect for those who would like to be able to walk their pup without having their arms pulled off their bodies and keep their pups from lunging on their leashes. Also really helpful for handling dogs that have a hard time relaxing in stimulating environments.

Pups on the Water
Not sure how to introduce your furry best friend to the kayak / paddleboard? This is an opportunity to come along and have some fun on the water together!
Where:
Sweatt Beach at Lake Pearl, Wrentham, MA
You will need:

3. Towels
4. Change of Clothing

The Home of Paws - Mayhem Managed: AKC STAR Puppy
Want to introduce your puppy to socialization and obedience in a safe way? This is for you! Open to all breeds under the age of 1, you will receive a recognized qualification at the end of the course and be recorded in the AKC official Puppy Records; plus, you get a certificate and medal!
*You must attend all classes to pass the AKC STAR Puppy Test
